About the role

Sinopec Canada is a wholly-owned subsidiary of a major International upstream oil and gas company, Sinopec International Petroleum Exploration and Production Corporation (SIPC) headquartered in Beijing, China.

Conduct detailed incident investigations, identifying direct and indirect causes, implement and manage corrective actions to prevent reoccurrences
Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Demonstrated ability to identify areas for improvement and implement systems, policies and procedures;

Must be legally qualified to work in Canada.

Provide technical assistance when required on HSE-related matters
Develop, revise and implement policies, procedures and HSE programs as required
Must have a passion for influencing culture and training, while taking a hands-on approach to influencing our business and building on the strong safety commitment and culture;
Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) with 5-10 years of direct HSE experience in a senior position, within the oil and gas industry
A post-secondary diploma or degree in Occupational Health and Safety and/or CRSP, NSCO designation is required.
