About the role

The position plays a key role in maintaining data integrity and supporting day-to-day engineering and production operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in creating, updating, and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs) in the Newton SAP system.

The Engineering Support Technician assists the Technology team by supporting BOMs, routings, engineering documentation, and SAP data management.
This role helps maintain accurate product data, supports production and procurement teams, and ensures engineering documentation is up to date and aligned with manufacturing processes.
Support the development and maintenance of manufacturing routing data in SAP, including operation sequences and work centers.
Collaborate with production and engineering to help refine routing processes.
Support version control and organization of engineering files.
Provide support to engineering and production teams on documentation and data accuracy.
Maintain accurate records of BOM and routing management activities.

1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with exposure to BOM and routing data management.
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently on assigned tasks.
Associate degree or technical certification in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
Understanding of manufacturing processes and production workflows.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
Willingness to learn and support continuous improvement initiatives.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS and WORK ENVIRONMENT
Position requires direct contact on the manufacturing floor and requires ambulation Work time is spent in a factory environment where temperatures fluctuate

Associate degree or technical certification in Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, or related field preferred
equivalent work experience considered.
Basic knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus.

Actual base salary offered varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
