  • As a Software Engineer II, you'll play a key role in supporting technical direction, mentoring junior developers, and driving engineering excellence.

Responsibilities

  • In this role, you'll bring a strong foundation in software engineering principles, with deep expertise in C++, algorithm development, and software design.
  • You'll develop high-performance C++ applications that run on real-time embedded systems-powering critical features like system monitoring and fault handling.
  • From requirements and software design to coding, testing, and deployment automation-you'll own the full development lifecycle of a software component in a collaborative, Agile environment.
  • Develop software that bridges the Torc autonomous driving system with the underlying base vehicle.
  • Lead component design and implementation efforts for embedded applications from concept to deployment.
  • Execute the full software development lifecycle including requirements, design, coding, unit testing, integration, and automation.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally in an Agile development environment.
  • Ability to mentor and support the growth of junior developers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics or a related field.
  • 5+ years of industry experience in embedded systems or related domains.
  • Proficiency in C++ with experience building components from scratch.
  • Experience working with embedded real-time systems and microcontroller development in C++.

Nice to have

  • Master's degree with 4+ years of experience or PhD with 2+ years.
  • Experience with Infineon Aurix microcontrollers.
  • Familiarity with AUTOSAR architecture and standards.
  • Prior work in robotics, autonomy, or other safety-critical systems.

Compensation

  • $139,000 - $166,800 USD
