About the role

This role ensures consistent plant production quality through oversight of materials, processes, and compliance with state and federal standards.
The position plays a critical role in ensuring asphalt mixtures meet performance, durability, and safety criteria.
Coordinate with MnDOT representatives and inspectors during plant audits and project approvals.

Mix Design & Quality Control Develop, evaluate, and maintain asphalt mix designs in accordance with MnDOT specifications.
Perform laboratory testing including aggregate gradation, asphalt content analysis, volumetric, and performance tests.
Adjust mix designs and plant settings to optimize product quality, cost efficiency, and performance.
Maintain documentation and records of mix designs, test results, and compliance reports.
Plant Production Support Monitor plant production processes to ensure adherence to approved mix designs.
Collaborate with plant operators to troubleshoot production issues and ensure consistent product quality.
Regulatory Compliance Ensure all mix designs and production practices comply with MnDOT, ASTM, and AASHTO standards.

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, Materials Science, or related field OR equivalent industry experience.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in asphalt mix design, plant operations, or materials testing.
