About the role

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain a variety of survey instruments, including GPS, Trimble total stations, and data collectors.
  • Support efficient project completion by maintaining communication with the Survey Party Chief and office staff.
  • MacKay is seeking a Survey Instrument Person to support our field operations team in Vancouver, WA.
  • This field-based role assists the Survey Party Chief in performing land surveying duties, operating survey instruments, and collecting accurate field data that supports engineering, land development, and construction projects.

Requirements

  • Candidates must have a high school diploma/GED.
  • Must be a highly motivated individual with strong attention to detail.
  • Current valid driver's license and ability to be insured to drive company vehicles is required.
  • During site visits, must be able to walk, lift, carry, stoop, bend, twist and work outdoors on uneven surfaces routinely.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Travel to and stay at project locations in multiple states on rare occasions.
