About the role

  • USNH Employees should apply within Workday through the Jobs Hub app The Research Assistant will work on underwater acoustic research projects under the direction of Professor Jennifer Miksis-Olds.
  • This adjunct hourly staff research position is located in the Center for Acoustics Research and Education in UNH's Institute for the Study of Earth, Oceans, and Space.
  • As such, continued employment in this role is contingent upon the availability of those external funds.

Requirements

  • Support report writing as required
  • Participate in UNH-industry collaboration as required
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • Knowledge of passive and active acoustics, ocean sound dynamics, and environmental modeling

Compensation

  • There is a student enrollment of 13,000 students, with a full-time faculty of over 600, offering 90 undergraduate and more than 70 graduate programs.
