About the role
- Base Area Services Technicians for Steamboat Ski Resort assist in maintaining the grounds in our base area, parking lots and on mountain facilities in both summer and winter.

- This is a Flex Year-Round position, which means that you will work 9 out of 12 months in the year.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license and meet insurability standards
- General knowledge of lawn and garden care is helpful
- Must be able to read, write, and speak effectively in the English language
- Must be minimum 18 years of age
- Must be able to remain standing for long periods of time, possibly in inclement weather
Skills
- Grounds Maintenance,
- Special event set up & tear down
- Outdoor trash and recycling removal
- Litter and debris removal from ground surfaces.
- Turf maintenance including mowing, trimming, watering, fertilizing.
- Annual flower pots and perennial flower beds maintenance including watering, pruning, mulching, deadheading.
- Maintain & monitor automatic and manual irrigation systems
- Construct new landscapes
- Snow removal by hand shoveling and use of ice chipping tools
- Ice and slippery surface identification and mitigation.
- Provide excellence guest service following Steamboat's Service Excellence standards
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements
