- We are seeking a visionary physician executive to join us as Chief Digital Health Officer (CDHO) & Executive Advisor.
Responsibilities
- C-Suite Advisory: Serve as Rackspace's primary executive physician voice, building relationships with hospital, payer, and life sciences executives to translate clinical and operational goals into cloud and AI roadmaps.
- Financial Alignment: Advise clients on the financial mechanics of digital transformation, helping C-suites evaluate TCO, optimize OpEx/CapEx alignment, and find efficiencies to offset legacy technology debt.
- Market Growth Partnership: Partner with Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams to articulate the business value of Rackspace's portfolio during high-stakes pursuits and client workshops.
- Thought Leadership: Represent Rackspace at industry forums and keynote presentations to drive the conversation on how cloud maturity unlocks clinical success.

Requirements
- Strong track record of having delivered major digital programs such as EMR or ERP implementations.
- AI & Data Expertise: Practical experience with clinical decision support systems, analytics, and emerging generative AI tools.

- Physician Leader: MD or DO.
- Informatics & Operational Leadership: 12+ years of progressive healthcare leadership, including at least 7 years in clinical informatics, digital health, or health IT (e.g., as a hospital CMIO, Associate CMIO, or CIO, CDIO, Chief Informatics Officer).
- Fiscal Stewardship: Direct experience managing or advising on substantial technology budgets, with a strong understanding of health system P&L structures and capital allocation. Strong track record of having delivered major digital programs such as EMR or ERP implementations.
- Cloud & Infrastructure Literacy: Understanding of public, private, and hybrid cloud architectures, data residency, EHR hosting, and cybersecurity requirements.
- Executive Communication: Ability to communicate effectively across clinical, technical, and financial audiences, from Chief Medical Officers to CEOs, CISOs and CFOs.
- Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several geographic markets. The compensation range for this position ranges from $245,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $385,000 USD/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
