About the role
- Role Summary: The Production Supervisor at the NA Pump QRCs is responsible for the day-to-day activities on the shop floor and direct management of the skilled labor team.
- This role will work closely with the QRC Manager and the Master Scheduler to ensure that the right resources are in place to be able to meet production goals with a focus on quality and on-time performance.
- In addition, this role will be responsible for maintaining a work schedule for all associates on the team to ensure resources are available to meet customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Effectively lead and manage people resources as measured by safety performance, turnover, and employee development sponsorship
- Manage shop resources to meet labor hour budget
- Drive CIP culture throughout organization and meet cycle time reduction goals
- Work with Master Scheduler to manage order risks
- Manage and improve COPQ, OTD, rework and scrap metrics
- Manage outsourced deliverables are on schedule, job packages are properly assembled, and scopes are clearly communicated
- Participate and implement programs/procedures to improve processes, lead-time, production yields and delivery performance.
- Manage the customer experience by occasionally acting as a point of contact for orders. Provide customer updates as requested
- Attend and actively participate in order hand off meetings (Pass Gate 1), and effectively manage the Pass Gate Process throughout the order lifecycle
- The Production Supervisor will work closely with individual associates, and team leads to develop training plans to aid in the growth and development of the operations team.
Requirements
- 5+ years in an industrial manufacturing or repair operation
- Experience scheduling/planning multiple jobs simultaneously
- Experience managing / directing all shop activities for a repair manufacturing facility
- CIP training and experience required
- Strong working knowledge of pumps & rotating equipment required.
- Experience with MS Project tools including: Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Nice to have
- Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to speak and communicate effectively with various audiences at the site level.
- Capacity to effectively share information and respond to questions from supervisors and managers at multiple levels of the organization
- High School Diploma with some college preferred

- Experience operating in an ERP system
- Self-motivated with an ability to work independently and make decisions on the spot
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, in addition to interpersonal, teamwork skills
