About the role
- The Perfusionist reports to the Director of CV Perfusion, and is responsible for the selection of appropriate equipment and techniques necessary for cardiopulmonary and/or circulatory systems.
- This position operates under very stressful situations, and is chartered with maintaining acute observational skills, persistent attention to detail, and exercising excellent clinical judgment.

Responsibilities
- Develop short- and long-term goals, to provide continuity of patient care.
- Document assessments on operative record.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree Cardiovascular Perfusion Science
- Master's Degree Cardiovascular Perfusion Science
- Certified Clinical Perfusionist - American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) - Required
- Up to 20%

- Evaluate cardiopulmonary status and other relative factors of patients in order to determine appropriate plan.
- Formulate a case plan by identifying pathophysiological problems associated with the patient.
- Adapt to changes in patient's status and formulates plan of action.
- Communicate assessment with all persons involved in patient's care.
