About the role

  • Join Mizuho's rapidly growing U.S. Equity Sales desk as an Analyst on the Institutional Research Sales team.
  • The expected base salary ranges from $110,000-150,000.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior salespeople covering hedge funds and long-only institutional accounts, supporting day-to-day client servicing and account organization.
  • Maintain and enhance the client platform, including contact information, interaction tracking, and research subscription management, to ensure accurate, timely engagement.
  • Develop a working specialization in short interest analytics, market catalysts, and thematic content to deliver differentiated color to clients.
  • Work with marketing, product origination, and legal to develop client-facing materials that communicate the desk's message.
  • Superb organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines.
  • This is a high-impact, entry-to-mid-level seat on a dynamic, fast-scaling desk where you will partner directly with senior salespeople covering hedge funds and traditional long-only asset managers.

Nice to have

  • 0-3 years of professional experience
  • internships or full-time exposure to sell-side or buy-side equities, capital markets, or institutional sales/trading strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related quantitative discipline
  • strong academic record required.
  • Progress toward CFA Level I/II is a plus.
  • Series 7 and Series 63 required - or the ability to pass both exams within the firm's sponsorship window post-hire.

Compensation
