Every year, over 50 million Americans are in need of behavioral health care, only a fraction receive it for high-acuity needs like addiction, autism, eating disorders, and other forms of mental health needs.
It's a systemic crisis created by the burden of proof insurance companies demand.
Because high-acuity treatment is costly, facilities are forced to constantly "prove" that their members meet the criteria for treatment and that every clinical chart is "audit-ready" just to secure payment.
