About the role
- A Steerman plays a critical role in the safe transport of oversized and heavy haul loads.
- This position is responsible for controlling the rear axles of large trailers to ensure the load tracks properly through turns, tight job sites, and restricted roadways.
- Additional responsibilities, the Steerman may operate as a chase pilot, following behind oversized loads to provide a safety buffer and alert other drivers.

Requirements
- Must have experience with axle weight distribution.
- Must have high mechanical aptitude as the position will require the assembly of dual lane trailers and suspension girders and performing inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Experience with Port of Entries.
Nice to have
- Experience with dual lane trailers, 9-axles, and hydraulics is a plus.
- Ability to run heavy equipment is a plus.
