About the role

The OCPMC will assist with the coordination of a more resilient food supply chain in Oneida County through the e-commerce site and the in-person farmers' market.
The individual will assist the supervisor in the coordination and implementation of activities and projects associated with the Oneida County Public Market.
The Coordinator will also assist in the development of marketing and advertising campaigns for the market's programs.

May assist in multi-association team efforts to deliver program.
Assist in developing communication strategies for the Oneida County Public Market.
Assist in developing and/or enhancing/expanding relationships with volunteers, vendors, community groups, appropriate agencies, organizations, and community leaders for the public market.

Bachelor's degree or Associate degree and two years of transferable program experience.
Experience relevant to the role of the position.
Ability to plan and organize work responsibilities according to priorities developed with team members and immediate supervisor.
Ability to work with the public.
Ability to communicate effectively, clearly, and tactfully through verbal, written and electronic methods.
Ability to clearly communicate (speak, read, and write proficiently) in English.
Proficiency or ability to learn and effectively use software including use of the internet and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, Excel).
Ability to meet travel requirements associated with this position.
Ability to meet acceptable background check standards.

Experience dealing with the agricultural industry while promoting community engagement.
Experience with and knowledge of the challenges facing agriculture locally and across New York State.
Position Details:
Wage/Hourly: $20-$21.50 per hour

Attend meetings as required, including but not limited to, USDA AMS Grant Management meetings, and the annual conference of the Farmers Market Federation of NY.
