About the role
- You will run all performance management processes, resolve employee relations issues and help uplevel Garner employees.
- This is a highly cross-functional, high-impact role reporting to the CFO, with a direct report.
- This role will be based in our New York City office (in the Financial District).
Responsibilities
- Coaching: Serve as primary People Partner to Managers and support with performance management / coaching / design topics
- Ability to simultaneously manage a wide variety of both strategic and operational work streams
- Proven ability to build and lead a high-impact team, setting a high bar for execution and investing in the growth of their people
- Diagnose drivers of NPS / attrition and support the Leadership Team and managers in addressing
Requirements
- You must be willing to work in the office 3 days per week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
- The ideal candidate has:
Nice to have
- 7-12 years of experience across both startups and mature companies, including at least 2 years leading an HRBP function
- Propensity to think in terms of systems, always seeing the full picture and designing for scale
- Strong analytical and technical abilities, including proficiency in Google Sheets and Claude Code (or similar)
- Deep belief that employee experience should directly enable business performance
Compensation
- The target salary range for this position is $240,000-275,000.
- Individual compensation for this role will depend on various factors, including qualifications, skills, and applicable laws.
