About the role
- Street Sweeper Operator is a journey level class in which incumbents operate a motor driven street sweeper to clean City streets and gutters in assigned areas.
- Incumbents may be assigned to any eighthour shift.
- Immediate and future vacancies will be filled from this eligible list for a period of three (3) months from the date the eligible list is created, with the option of extending that period at the City's discretion.
Responsibilities
- Special Requirement(s): Must possess a valid Commercial Class B California Driver's License without airbrake restriction at time of application and maintain the appropriate license for the entire term of employment in this classification.
Requirements
- Performs related duties as required.
- THE REQUIREMENTS Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications on or before the posted filing deadline in order to qualify for the examination.
- One (1) year of experience in the operation of construction, agricultural and related equipment with complex operating requirements.
- Must be able to read and follow maps.
