About the role
- Desktop Client is the single client experience that unifies connection brokering, credential delivery, and protocol access across the Delinea Platform, giving customers one tool to access every resource just-in-time.
- Desktop Client is a native application that connects users to databases, servers, Kubernetes clusters, cloud providers, and other endpoints without the friction of scattered credentials, port exhaustion, certificate warnings, or constant tool-switching.
- As the PM for the Desktop Client and its associated SDK and CLI capabilities, you will set the direction for a flagship client used by IT administrators, power users, developers and, non-human identities across macOS, Windows and, Linux.
Responsibilities
- Define and articulate the strategy for unifying connection brokering, credential delivery, and protocol access into a single client experience, and drive the long-term consolidation of legacy desktop and connection-management use cases into it.
- Own end-to-end delivery across discovery, definition, and launch.
- Partner closely with engineering on architecture-shaping decisions for the cross-platform client and related SDK and CLI capabilities-translating deep technical constraints into clear product direction.
- Partner closely with engineering and architecture, UX and design, security and GRC, platform and infrastructure teams, and go-to-market functions to deliver a cohesive product.
- Partner with Security and Compliance to ensure the client meets enterprise security expectations-including FedRAMP requirements-without adding friction for end users.

Requirements
- 5+ years of Product Management experience, including significant time owning technical, infrastructure, security, or identity products.
- Experience owning desktop, CLI, or cross-platform applications (macOS/Windows/Linux), or comparable systems where the client experience is central to the product.
- Proven ability to translate deep architectural constraints into a clear, customer-centric roadmap, and to make and defend hard prioritization trade-offs.
Nice to have
- CS/EE degree or security certification (CISSP/CCSP).
- Experience shipping software for FedRAMP compliance and adjacent regimes (FIPS 140-2/3 validated cryptography, SOC 2, etc.).
- Experience with product consolidation, legacy migration, and deprecation.
- Familiarity with Zero Trust / ZTNA architecture and how a client fits into a brokered-access model with proxies.
- Familiarity with access players (Teleport, Okta Privilege Access, CyberArk, BeyondTrust).
- Travel Expectation: up to 25%
