Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and execute test plans and test cases covering different service workflows.
- Validate northbound interfaces including CLI, REST, NETCONF, gNMI/gRPC, OpenConfig, SNMP, and WebSocket management interfaces.
- Perform verification of streaming telemetry, data collection, performance monitoring, and operational state reporting across supported interfaces.
- Investigate software defects by analyzing logs, alarms, telemetry data, and system behavior, and collaborate with development teams to drive root-cause resolution.
- Collaborate with Development, Systems Engineering, and Technical Support teams to support high-quality product releases and customer satisfaction.
- Exposure to AI-enabled engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar technologies to support software development, automation, data analysis, and problem-solving activities.
Compensation
- The annual pay range for this position is $62,700 - $100,100
- Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business.

- Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
