Responsibilities
- Performs extensive, comprehensive review of incoming protocols and amendments, including grant/protocol congruence as well as cross-checking against previously submitted versions of the protocol;
- On a daily basis, maintains document control and tracking of the process of research animal protocol review including, but not limited to, monitoring of the IACUC email box, processing incoming documents, data entry within multiple systems, copying, scanning, and filing;
- Maintains tracking table for veterinary observations, protocol non-compliance, and regulatory exceptions;
- Maintains IACUC web page;
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to write concise and detailed documents.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in biomedical research institute or facility.
- Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks, completing assigned tasks in an organized, timely fashion while meeting all target deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Nice to have
- IACUC administrative experience or other regulatory oversight groups or compliance experience preferred.
Compensation
- Schedules and plans the semi-annual research facilities inspections program; compiles and finalizes semi-annual reports which are approved by the IACUC and submitted to the Institutional Official
