About the role
- This role is responsible for performing and assisting with sanitation activities, following documented Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), supporting cross department functions.
Responsibilities
- Support once appropriately trained: Dismantling, cleaning, inspection, and reassemble complex production equipment to ensure effective removal of product residues and sanitation hazards
- Support sanitation verification activities, including visual inspections and documented checks, and report non-conformances.
- Perform sanitation duties in accordance with established SSOPs, GMPs, and food safety requirements, ensuring all expectations are met.
Requirements
- Maintain accurate and legible sanitation records, logs, and checklists as required by the site's food safety management system.
- Ensure sanitation activities are completed within required timeframes to support production schedules without compromising food safety.
Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in food manufacturing sanitation or a similar regulated environment preferred.
- Working knowledge of sanitation procedures, SSOPs, GMPs, chemical handling, and food safety principles.
- Ability to read, write, and accurately complete sanitation documentation.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to guide and instruct sanitation personnel.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, accountability, and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, overtime, and swing shifts.
