About the role

The School of Sciences & Humanities at Wentworth Institute of Technology seeks applications for a full-time Chemistry Lecturer.
This is a teaching-focused position centered on undergraduate instruction and student success.

Deliver structured, engaging instruction in introductory and intermediate chemistry courses

At least two years of experience teaching undergraduate chemistry.
Experience teaching at an institution serving a student population similar to Wentworth.
Required:
PhD in Chemistry or a closely related field, completed at time of application. ABD candidates will not be considered.
Demonstrated experience teaching both lecture and laboratory courses.
Evidence of effective teaching, such as student evaluations, peer observations, sample materials, or similar documentation.
Authorization to work in the United States at the time of hire. Wentworth does not sponsor work visas for this position.

It is expected that the salary range for this position is between $70,000 and $81,600.
Wentworth uses a three-semester per year schedule.
The faculty contracts are for two semesters (fall and spring) with optional summer teaching, which is paid on a prorated basis of the provided two-semester salary.
This means the annual compensation could reach 1.5 times the provided two-semester salary, depending on the availability of summer classes.

The range does not include any salary stipend from a named-professorship.
This position comes with a 10% retirement contribution (no matching required) according to the current Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Wentworth Faculty Federation.
