About the role

  • The Tri-State Finance Director oversees the major donor fundraising efforts in Connecticut, New Jersey, and New York.
  • The Finance Director is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and maintaining relationships with the top donors in their region.
  • The Tri-State Finance Director is based in Washington, DC and reports to the National Finance Co-Directors at the Democratic National Committee.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive cycle finance plan that aims to exceed regional goals.
  • Regularly performs research to identify prospective supporters.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC's mission.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Working knowledge of NGP database.
  • Experience managing events and staffing principals.
  • Some travel required.

Skills

  • Experience working in the political fundraising area, with emphasis on Tri-State fundraising is preferred.
  • Experience collaborating with teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
  • Travel: The Tri-State Finance Director position will require travel, which could be up to 15-30% of the time.
  • This is a full-time, exempt position, that may require work on weekends.

Compensation

  • The starting salary for the Tri-State Finance Director position is $120,000, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • This is a full-time, exempt position, that may require work on weekends.
  • Due to federal campaign finance rules, only U.S. citizens or U.S. green card holders are eligible for this role.
