About the role
- The JFK School of Law at National University invites applications for part-time Pre-Law and Paralegal Studies faculty.
- The successful candidate will have a demonstrated record of, or potential for excellence in, teaching and a commitment to serving the University's diverse student body.
- In addition to teaching responsibilities, this position will work closely with the Academic Program Director and other faculty within the programs to ensure academic quality, and student engagement and success.
Responsibilities
- Identify at-risk students and collaborate with student services to provide support as needed.
- Maintain appropriate professional training and/or scholarly activities, where applicable.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Complete required tasks by the stated deadlines (e.g., final grades, assessment, grading rubrics, input for grade appeals, etc.).
- Minimum of five years of legal practice experience.
- Proficiency in the use of technology in the delivery of education.
Nice to have
- Teaching experience with favorable student evaluations, preferably in the areas of legal research and writing, criminal law, and legal technology, however, all legal subject areas will be considered.
- Experience with online teaching and the systems that support it.
- Curriculum development experience.

Compensation
- Hourly: $26.63 - $28.89
