About the role
- The Project Manager is responsible for managing customer projects from receipt of order through shipment and completion.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate and implement customer-requested changes following order placement.
- Resolve issues related to equipment design, quality requirements, and manufacturing readiness prior to production release.
- Manage documentation submittals and support the preparation of final installation, operation, and maintenance manuals.
- Arrange installation and startup support activities with Technical Services and Service Group personnel.
- Analyze project variances and support corrective actions to maintain project objectives.
- Maintain strong customer relationships and serve as the primary customer contact throughout the project lifecycle.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Occasional domestic travel may be required to support project execution, inspections, customer meetings, or manufacturing activities.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, or a related field.
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience in project management, proposals, sales, marketing, applications engineering, operations, manufacturing, or a related field.
- Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
- Experience with system integration projects.
- Education:
- Project Management coursework, certification, or related professional development.
- Familiarity with centrifugal pumps, process pumps, motors, gear reducers, couplings, drive components, and control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Working knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Access, and SQL preferred.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, engineering documentation, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong financial and project scheduling aptitude.
