About the role

Under minimal supervision, the HVAC Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in HVACR technology across a variety of instructional formats and locations.
include documenting student progress, maintaining accurate records, and utilizing instructional technologies and tools relevant to the trade.
Hours of instruction for this position will be primarily afternoons and evenings, Monday through Thursday, and all day Friday.

Requires an associate's degree in HVACR Technology, Construction Technology, or a closely related field.
The instructor must be able to read and interpret technical documents such as safety regulations, HVACR codes, blueprints, and installation manuals.
Morning work hours will be required occasionally.

Minimum of three years of hands-on experience in HVACR installation, maintenance and repair.
Experience in residential, commercial and industrial systems preferred.
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Must hold (or be willing to obtain) EPA 608 Certified, Forklift Certification, National Coalition of Certification Centers Train-The-Trainer Certification, and other industry certifications preferred.
A combination of licensure and/or certification in conjunction with work experience may be considered in the absence of a college degree.

Strong knowledge of HVACR systems, materials, and installation techniques.
Proficiency in reading and applying HAVACR codes, blueprints, and schematics.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair HVACR systems.
Knowledge of safety practices, tools, and equipment used in the HVACR trade.
Ability to effectively communicate technical information verbally and in writing.
Basic computer skills and ability to use instructional technologies.
