About the role
- The Express Care LPN responsibilities include, but are not limited to, patient assessment and triage, excellent communication and customer service skills, educating and answering patient questions during visit and at discharge.
- The Express Care LPN rooms patients, takes vital signs and reports patient concerns or pertinent observations to provider.
- The Express Care LPN is responsible for coordination of tests and services, assisting providers with procedures, and accurate documentation of all patient related activities.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of equipment, examination, and treatment rooms.
- Maintain exam rooms with necessary supplies and materials.
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Requirements
- Adheres to infection control, emergency, safety, fire and disaster plans and policies, completing required initial training and updates per hospital policy.
- Required for All Jobs
- Responsible for understanding and showing respect for patients' rights including confidentiality of patient information. (Required proficiency)
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. (Required proficiency)
Skills
- Demonstrates consistent use of Standard Precautions and proper body mechanics and follows OSHA guidelines (Required proficiency)
- Demonstrates knowledge of the Kansas State Nurse Practice Act and follows the statutes and regulations therein. (Required proficiency)
- Demonstrates excellent understanding and use of the EMR (Required proficiency)
- Licensed Practical Nurse
- KSBN A multistate license with the ability to practice within the State of Kansas is also accepted. Required
- Basic Life Support
- BLS Required within 90 days of hire.
Compensation
- Abide by Stormont Vail's Remote Worker Policy and will review and acknowledge the Remote Work Agreement annually.
