About the role
- Assigns new patients and hospital consultations to designated physicians.
Responsibilities
- Ability to build an engaging culture of quality, performance effectiveness and operational excellence through best practices, strong business and political acumen, collaboration and partnerships, as well as a positive employee, physician and community relations.
- Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
- Performs all duties in accordance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Must be detailed oriented with the ability to exercise independent judgment.
- Ability to work effectively with sensitive and confidential material and sometimes emotionally charged matters.
- Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-site environment with demonstrated ability to juggle competing priorities and demands from a variety of stakeholders and sites.
- Demonstrates working knowledge of all facets of role, relevant regulations, and organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
- High School diploma or GED is required
- Ability to communicate effectively with physicians.
- Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software.
- Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.

- Education
- Previous Experience
- Analytical ability is required in order to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various administrative problems and prioritize work. Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Must have knowledge of secretarial, office administrative procedures and knowledge of use and operation of standard office equipment at a level generally acquired through related experience.

- Interpersonal Effectiveness: Developed interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, diplomacy, tact, conflict management, delegation skills, and diversity awareness. Ability to work effectively with sensitive and confidential material and sometimes emotionally charged matters.
- Communication Skills: Good command of the English language. Second language is an asset but not required. Effective communication skills (oral, written, presentation), is an active listener, and effectively provides balanced feedback.
