About the role

  • The Project Engineer IV is a recognized technical authority who handles the most critical, large-scale capital projects and is a subject matter expert (SME) for the project execution process and engineering standards.
  • This role is also recognized as an expert in financial governance and the capital funding (AFCE) process.
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the primary technical authority for the plant's capital portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Approve major design deviations and provide high-level solutions for execution roadblocks ensuring all engineering solutions meet or exceed standards.
  • Mentor other engineers on sound engineering principles and designs
  • Develop and present comprehensive business cases for critical, large-scale capital projects.
  • Drive high-level continuous improvement and adaptability strategies across the engineering department to prevent capital project delays or budget overruns.
  • Design Oversight: Approve major design deviations and provide high-level solutions for execution roadblocks ensuring all engineering solutions meet or exceed standards.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and present comprehensive business cases for critical, large-scale capital projects.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive high-level continuous improvement and adaptability strategies across the engineering department to prevent capital project delays or budget overruns.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10% - 15% required for Plant based roles.
  • If applying for positions in the U.S., must be eligible to work in the U.S. without need for employer sponsored visa (work permit).

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's Degree Engineering
  • 10+ years of experience in project engineering and/or project management
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accuracy
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work under limited supervision, make independent judgement and decisions as necessary.

Compensation

  • $104,000-$143,000
