About the role
- Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) is responsible for specimen collection and processing, test performance and for reporting test results.
Responsibilities
- Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency standards as it relates to the environment, employee, patient safety or job performance.
- Adhere to the laboratory's quality control policies, document all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance performed.
- Document all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory's established performance specifications.
- Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
Requirements
- license must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
- Maintains records that demonstrate that proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient samples
- Minimum Qualifications Certifications and Licenses
