About the role

  • SUMMARY The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the movement of materials, equipment, and supplies to and from the mine site to ensure uninterrupted mining operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage freight providers and carriers for deliveries to mine site.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using site ERP and inventory systems.
  • Support critical spares management to minimize downtime of mining equipment.
  • Site Operations Support
  • Support mobilization and demobilization of equipment, contractors, and personnel.
  • Maintain accurate records of transport documents, customs paperwork (if applicable), and compliance documentation.

Requirements

  • Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3-5 years of logistics or supply chain experience, preferably in mining, construction, or heavy industry.
  • Strong understanding of freight coordination and inventory management.
  • Prior experience in an open-pit or underground mining operation.
  • Knowledge of heavy equipment transport and bulk materials handling.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Pronto, Oracle, etc.).
  • Familiarity with FIFO/DIDO workforce logistics.
  • Required
  • Experience working in a remote, industrial, or 24/7 operational environment.
