About the role

  • Summer, Gowans Crew - The hours for this position will vary RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential Functions: Pick up trash/debris.
  • Daily yard work (mowing, edging, trimming, etc.) work on all outdoor campus athletic facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Plant, maintain, trim, weed, mulch, and water; Flowers, shrubs, pots, and landscape beds.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Director or Coordinators of Facilities.

Requirements

  • Must be a neat and clean individual.
  • The ability to cooperate with students and college personnel.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to safely push, pull, reach, bend, stoop, climb, (up to a height of 8'), walk, carry, and to regularly lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be a neat and clean individual. Portraying a positive image to students, staff and community members is essential.
  • possess eye/hand/foot coordination sufficient to operate equipment, tools, etc., perform other physical activities as becomes necessary.
  • May work in adverse conditions with possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, tissue, and communicable disease.

Skills

  • Daily moving furniture, scrubbing/refinishing floors.
  • Operating tools and floor cleaning equipment.
  • Assist other employees as needed.
  • Arrive on time for work, attend work regularly, and successfully complete the responsibilities of the position.
  • Comply with HutchCC policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Daily cleaning of buildings, including dusting, cleaning windows, floors, walls and furniture, as well as other customary custodial duties.
  • Included within these duties is the use of customary custodial tools and equipment.
  • Daily painting both interior and exterior.
  • Maintain clean tools, vehicles, and shop areas.
  • Daily help the HutchCC's plumber
  • Daily help the HutchCC's HVAC department
