About the role
- This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization.
- This role will also partake in a considerable amount of software / hardware integration.

Responsibilities
- Coordinates with our system lab partners to identify needs and participate in solution generation for lab modernization
- Supports the design, architecture, and development of simulation models, simulation visualizations, virtual environments/platforms, and frameworks to enhance test performance, safety, and durability of software and hardware systems throughout the entire product lifecycle
- Supports partnership with stakeholders to review and identify simulation requirements and dynamics of the systems being simulated
- Supports designing, modeling, simulation, testing, and analysis to assess and optimize overall system performance and capabilities
- Supports validation, verification, and refinement of simulation software code, models, simulations, test procedures, and test environments, executing test procedures, documenting test results, and modeling against real-world data, test data, benchmarks, or other similar models
- Supports partnership with cross-functional engineering teams to enable integration of simulation software with hardware devices and systems
- Supports implementing current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and methods in the software engineering simulation environment
- Supports modernizing, migrating, sustaining, and updating simulation software to adapt legacy systems to new operating systems
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)
- 2 or more years' of experience with software development and/or troubleshooting software
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
- To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
- This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
Nice to have
- Experience with software development using C, C++ or Ada
- Experience with Go, Java, C/C++, Rust, or Python
- Experience with Linux and Windows development
- Experience with hardware / software integration
- Experience with performing Application Programming Interface (API) design, implementation, and testing
- this includes knowledge of real-time target environments, its processor and network architecture, communication protocols, and electrical interfaces
- Experience with building and execution environments that include hosts, processors, operating systems, and networks
- Experience with verification, validation, certification, and qualification processes

Compensation
- Associate (Level 2): $99,450 - $134,550
- Experienced (Level 3): $126,650 - $171,350
- Senior (Level 4): $160,650 - $217,350

- This organization designs, develops, and demonstrates avionics solutions for the F-22 Raptor, the premier 5th gen air superiority fighter flown only by the United States Air Force (USAF).
- Your role will require you to work as a member of an agile team to create and maintain the simulation environment and testing infrastructure used to support the development and test of advanced capabilities of the F-22 Raptor.
- This role will have tasking directly supporting our lab customer for developing analysis tools, automation scripts, and other support software to continue modernization of our system-level labs.
