About the role
- This role will demonstrate a strong track record of securing media coverage in top-tier and emerging content platforms.
- This is a full-time role based in Washington, D.C., requiring an in-office presence of at least three days per week.
- To be qualified, candidates must currently reside in the DMV metro area.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute earned media strategies that advance client business, policy, and reputation objectives and that shape industry, policy, and public conversations.
- Develop fresh storytelling and compelling angles that breakthrough the media ecosystem.
- Build and maintain strong media relationships, while guiding and mentoring team members on relationship development and best practices for outreach and engagement.
Requirements
- Sound judgment and ability to navigate sensitive, high-profile, and rapidly evolving issues with professionalism.
Nice to have
- Experience integrating earned media with broader stakeholder engagement, advocacy, digital, or executive visibility programs.
- Existing network within D.C.'s media, policy, and influencer ecosystem.
- Team management, including direct supervision.
- Bonuses are not guaranteed.
Compensation
- $95,000-$120,000 annually.
- This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting.
- Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
- The Company may, in its discretion, also offer an annual bonus in an amount, if any, to be determined by the Company.
