About the role

Responsibilities

  • Projects in the lab are focused on understanding and targeting ion channels and G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) to identify novel therapeutic targets, and develop new drug candidates for hypertension, stroke and cardiometabolic diseases.
  • In addition, the postdoctoral Research Scientist will contribute to grant development, assist the PI in manuscript preparation, and support laboratory operations, ensuring high standards of rigor, reproducibility, and compliance.

  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Proficiency in experimental techniques relevant to animal models of diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, stroke, and pulmonary hypertension.
  • Proficiency in experimental techniques relevant to animal models of diseases such as hypertension, stroke, preeclampsia, pulmonary hypertension, and diabetes.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary research team.

  • Solid knowledge in cardiovascular sciences, metabolic disorders and intracellular signal transduction pathways.
