Responsibilities

  • Lead the mechanical design and development of high-power RF amplifiers, subsystems, and chassis/line-replaceable units (LRUs) from initial concept through qualification, manufacturing, and volume production.
  • Develop and execute product development plans to ensure that technical requirements, program schedules, and cost objectives are met.
  • Create innovative conceptual designs and detailed mechanical solutions, while developing and maintaining accurate bills of materials (BOMs).
  • Design and implement advanced thermal management solutions, including both forced-air and liquid-cooled systems, to ensure reliable operation of high-power electronics.
  • Perform finite element analysis (FEA) for thermal, shock, and vibration performance of circuit board assemblies, LRUs, and mechanical structures.
  • Prepare and maintain engineering drawings, design documentation, and BOMs, while conducting tolerance stack-up analyses using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
  • Participate in and lead peer reviews, internal design reviews, and customer-facing technical design reviews to ensure design quality, compliance, and successful program execution.

Requirements

  • Experience with military and aerospace specifications, including environmental requirements (e.g., extreme temperatures, altitude, vibration, shock, salt fog).
  • Applicant must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance.
