About the role
- F&O provides high-quality craft and fabrication services and safeguards people, property, and national security.
- Additional: - This is a fully onsite position located at BNL. - Visa sponsorship for this position is not available. - Hours: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
- This is a multi-level role and the full salary range for this position is $80 700- $122 167 / year.
Responsibilities
- M onitor daily building operations, respond to system alarms, and investigate any equipment or system issues.
- Provide field support to electricians, mechanics, and technicians for system installations and root cause analysis.
- Support database setup, and trend monitoring for energy systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of programming, and maintaining building control and industrial PLC systems.
Requirements
- This is due to nationwide identification requirements for federal site access as required by the federal REAL ID Act.
- a BS degree in a technical field and 6 years work experience or;
- Domestic travel may be required on occasion for training purposes.
Nice to have
- a BS degree in a technical field and 4 years work experience or;
- a technical institute, Adult BOCES certification, AA degree in a technical field, CCI program completion at BNL plus 8 years experience or;
- a technical high school certification program (e.g. BOCES) and 9 years relevant work experience or;
- 10 years relevant work experience.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with building automation or HVAC controls.
- Strong field experience troubleshooting HVAC control systems.
- Proficient in reading electrical, mechanical, and control drawings.
- Valid NYS driver's license.
