About the role

Axos Bank Target Range: $23.00/Hr. - $28.00/Hr.
Actual starting pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
This role works closely with Relationship Managers, Underwriters, Portfolio Managers, and Credit Administration to evaluate borrower and guarantor financial strength, property performance, market conditions, and overall credit risk.

Conduct industry, market, and sponsor research to identify risks and support credit recommendations
Support due diligence efforts and coordinate documentation requests with internal and external stakeholders
Maintain underwriting models, databases, and reporting tools used for credit analysis and portfolio management
Collaborate with Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers, and Credit Officers throughout the underwriting and approval process
The position is designed for an early-career finance professional seeking to develop a strong foundation in commercial real estate underwriting and credit analysis.

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Real Estate, Business, or a related field
0-2+ years of experience in commercial banking, credit analysis, underwriting, commercial real estate, public accounting, or a related financial field
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to interpret financial statements and assess credit risk
Knowledge of financial modeling, cash flow analysis, and basic accounting principles
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

These discretionary target bonuses may be awarded semi-annually based upon your achievement of performance goals and targets.

Evaluate cash flow, debt service coverage, leverage, liquidity, net worth, and other key credit metrics
