About the role

  • This role is ideal for someone comfortable working across practical electrical architecture, hardware integration, and power-related engineering challenges.
  • This role is based on-site in San Francisco, CA.
  • Work on power delivery, power conversion, and battery-adjacent systems

Responsibilities

  • As an Electrical Engineer at Droyd, you will focus on system-level electrical design across motors, power, and platform integration.
  • You will help build the electrical backbone of the robot, including power conversion and the systems that support motion and mobile operation.
  • Design and integrate electrical systems for motors, mobile platforms, and robot subsystems
  • Support electrical architecture for 24-48V systems and related hardware
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical and robotics teams on system integration
  • We design and manufacture our hardware in-house, which means iteration, fabrication, and execution all happen under one roof.

Requirements

  • Have strong experience with system-level electrical engineering

Nice to have

  • Experience with robotics or mechatronic systems
  • Experience with power electronics or converters
  • Experience with batteries, motor systems, or mobile robots
  • If we do this right, robots stop being demos and start being infrastructure.

Compensation

  • $150K-$210K base salary, plus equity
