About the role

Astera Labs is seeking a driven, collaborative, and solutions-oriented Senior Counsel, Commercial to join our growing Legal team.
This is an exceptional opportunity to join a dynamic AI infrastructure semiconductor company during a period of hypergrowth, where your contributions will have a direct and visible impact.

Collaborate closely with sales, procurement, finance, and business operations to structure deals that protect the company while enabling commercial success.
Develop and refine contract playbooks, templates, and department infrastructure and tools that scale with the business.
Support strategic initiatives across the business, including real estate transactions, M&A diligence, contract management system enhancements, and emerging legal needs as they arise.

8+ years of relevant legal experience, with a strong foundation in commercial transactions gained at a law firm and/or in-house legal department.
Team player, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Experience in semiconductor, hardware, and AI/cloud infrastructure is a plus.
J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in at least one U.S. state bar (California preferred).

Take ownership of legal process improvements and help define how commercial legal work gets done, including the use of AI tools.
Train and empower internal stakeholders on contract processes, risk awareness, and self-service tools.

Base salary range is $200,000 to $260,000 depending on experience, level, and business need.
