About the role
- The role enables effective stewardship, engagement, and operational coordination across the Philanthropy & Public Engagement team and is responsible for US donation deposits.
- Location(s): Hybrid, Lancaster, Pennsylvania
Responsibilities
- Through a market-systems approach and strategic partnerships, MEDA enables access to finance and provides business and technical expertise to build transformative agri-food market systems that create decent jobs, allowing traditionally excluded groups to become active participants in a sustainable economy.
- The Philanthropy & Public Engagement Coordinator is responsible for supporting donor member and public engagement activities including event coordination, communications support, content preparation, and administrative tasks.
- Provide administrative and logistical support for member and public
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to all
- Communications & Content Support - 20%
- Provide light graphic design support (basic layouts, simple visuals)
- Data, Systems & Reporting Support - 15%
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in administration, communications, philanthropy, fundraising or public engagement

- Understanding and appreciation of business principles, international development, and MEDA's approach of creating business solutions to poverty
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail
- Customer-service mindset with professionalism and discretion
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams
- Occasional travel
