About the role
- Your work will set the foundations that enable fast, autonomous work across every engineering team.
- The infrastructure team is a core part of the software engineering org.
- Our infrastructure is defined as code and has a hand in the stability of every codebase at Pipe.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, reliable cloud infrastructure solutions for business-critical applications and services
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure infrastructure meets their requirements and is easy to use
- Maintain a strong security posture through close collaboration with the security team to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure issues and drive timely resolution
- Participate in on-call rotation to support critical infrastructure issues
Nice to have
- Cloud Infrastructure
- AWS or Azure experience is transferable
- CI/CD system management
- Observability systems
- Datadog and/or OpenTelemetry preferred
- TypeScript and/or Golang - beneficial but less critical
Skills
- Frontend: Typescript, React, Next.js
- Backend: Go, PostgreSQL, BigQuery
- Data: BigQuery, Sqlmesh, Python
- Infrastructure: Kubernetes, Pulumi, Buildkite, Google Cloud Platform
- Strong candidates will have hands-on experience with most of these technologies and the technical range to pick up what's new quickly.
- Technical Qualifications
- We do not require a specific tenure with any technology, but we expect enough proficiency to explore and use them independently:
- Cloud Infrastructure - GCP preferred; AWS or Azure experience is transferable
- Infrastructure as Code
- Kubernetes
