About the role
- We're looking for a full-time Strategic Technical Project Manager to join our Professional Services team reporting to the Director, PMO.
- This role is a remote role based in The United States.
- In this role, you'll play a key role in driving the success of large-scale, high-visibility customer engagements within Professional Services by leading complex, multi-workstream implementations from contract signature through validated business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end accountability for complex, multi-workstream customer engagements, including scope, timelines, budget, and risk management.
- Lead SteerCo and C-suite steering committees, executive QBRs, and status reviews - communicating progress, risks, and business outcome alignment directly to senior executive audiences.
- Partner with executive stakeholders to define success criteria, governance structures, and outcome validation frameworks.
- Drive disciplined scope control, change management, and financial oversight across strategic engagements.
- Drive AI / agentic workflow deployments end-to-end - from scoping and design through go-live, adoption, and iteration - ensuring measurable business outcomes are achieved in production environments.
- Develop reusable playbooks, governance frameworks, delivery standards, and methodology documentation that elevate the broader Professional Services practice - owning the creation of new standards, not just following existing ones.
- Monitor post-deployment performance signals and drive structured follow-up actions to improve adoption, stability, trust, and measurable business outcomes.
- We're building the AI-driven future of customer success, from retention to growth!
- What underpins it all is a culture that offers the stability, trust, and support that people need - not just to do the job, but to show up as themselves and feel connected to the work they do.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) and 10+ years of relevant experience.
- 7+ years managing enterprise-grade software or SaaS implementations within Professional Services or Technical Consulting.
- Proven track record managing multi-workstream engagements with complex stakeholder environments and contract values exceeding $500K+.
- Experience partnering cross-functionally with Product and Engineering teams.
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, evolving product environments.
Compensation
- The starting base salary range for this role is $150,000 - $160,000 USD annually.
Benefits
- This role is also eligible for commission based on performance and participation in Gainsight's equity program.
- Additional benefits include a $10,000 lifetime fertility stipend and access to coworking spaces around the globe.
- More than 2,000 companies trust Gainsight's applications and AI agents to drive learning, adoption, community connection, and success for their customers.
- With a growing suite of products across customer success, product experience, community, education, and AI-powered relationship intelligence, we continue to evolve with the needs of our customers.
