About the role

  • Please note the schedule for this role is: 2:45pm-11:30 pm, Saturdays as needed* The Shift Leader reports directly to the Production Supervisor and is responsible for leading production operations during a shift.
  • This includes leading and training the staff, following production processes, and coordinating maintenance and upkeep of equipment with the maintenance team.
  • Work Environment: Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Performs regular duties as assigned.
  • 2+ years in a Lead Role in Manufacturing preferably USDA Food Establishment.
  • Maintain and improve food safety, food defense, and food quality programs within the operation.

Requirements

  • Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and/or reach.
  • Manual dexterity- the ability to quickly move hands and arms, manipulate and/or assemble objects.
  • The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull and/or carry objects.
  • The use of gloves, hair net and frocks are required.
  • Ability to work alone or as a member of a team.
  • Required Skills/Abilities:

Skills

  • Basic knowledge of the product, production processes and other techniques for maximizing the level of production.
  • Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
  • Awareness of sanitation and hygiene procedures and practices.
  • Concern for the safety of self and co-workers and a responsible attitude.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Solid computer skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ERP systems.
  • Excellent Communication and problem- solving skills.
