About the role

- Position Overview The Project Safety Manager will be responsible for implementing and overseeing safety programs on heavy civil construction projects.
- This role ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific safety plans.
- Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions for project personnel.
- Collaborate with project managers and superintendents to integrate safety into all phases of construction.
- Maintain accurate safety documentation and records.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of safety experience in heavy civil construction.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other applicable safety standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
- Construction Site Environment - physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach and climb.
- some standing, bending at the waist, stooping and reaching required
- ability to lift 5-20 pounds occasionally
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Certifications such as CSP, CHST, or OSHA 30 are highly desirable.

- Construction Site Environment - physical ability to stand, walk, crawl, bend, reach and climb. Exposed to high noise levels
- Office Environment - extensive sitting at desk and computer
