In this casual/part-time role, you will support the Maintenance Manager and Facilities team in keeping our community safe, comfortable, and well maintained for the residents who call it home.
The Maintenance Worker is responsible for supporting the Maintenance Manager and Facilities team in maintaining Luxstone Seniors Living's building, grounds, and common areas to a high standard.
Performs general building repairs, preventive maintenance, and minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work
Completes and documents work orders accurately and in a timely manner
Maintains common areas, mechanical rooms, and building exteriors
Supports grounds and parking lot upkeep, including seasonal work such as snow and ice removal
Maintains a respectful, genuine manner when working around seniors and within their living spaces
Performs all work according to safe work practices that pertain to the job/task, following SOPs and using the proper equipment for any task

Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and general repair techniques
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on feet for extended periods
Must be able to provide a clear Criminal Record Check
1-2+ years of maintenance, facilities, or related trade experience an asset
High school diploma required
Familiarity with CMMS/work order systems an asset
Ability to work to high standards, policies, and procedures
Ability to anticipate and solve problems
Ensures that all required equipment and protective devices are used in the correct manner
