About the role
- This is a hands-on role involving hazard assessments, project EHS planning, contractor oversight, site inspections, incident investigation and the continued development of a strong safety culture.
- You will also help embed EHS considerations into the development and deployment of our proprietary SolBank technology.
Responsibilities
- Provide practical EHS advice and support to project teams, ensuring compliance with applicable federal, provincial and local requirements, as well as company standards
- Support incident and near-miss investigations, root cause analysis, and the development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions
- Collaborate with Project Implementation, Engineering and Service teams to embed safety into the design, construction, commissioning and operation of BESS installations
- Evaluate contractor, subcontractor and supplier EHS performance, and support the management of identified risks, corrective actions and compliance concerns
- Support environmental compliance activities, including spill prevention and response, waste-management practices and site environmental controls, as applicable
Requirements
- Experience reviewing project EHS plans, hazard assessments, job hazard or job safety analyses, safe work procedures, method statements and contractor safety documentation
- Experience within battery energy storage, renewable energy, electrical infrastructure or power-generation environments is considered an asset
Nice to have
- This may include CRSP, CRST, NCSO, QHSO, NEBOSH or a comparable Canadian or international qualification
Skills
- Experience supporting incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive action planning
- Willingness and ability to travel to project sites across Canada, as required

Compensation
- $110,000 - $130,000 + annual bonus
