Requirements

  • Possession of a valid California Class C driver license and acceptable driving record are required.
  • Minimum Qualifications - Required
  • Police Cadets must be at least 18 years of age at the time of appointment.
  • License: Possession of a valid California Class C driver license and acceptable driving record are required.

Nice to have

  • Has completed or is enrolled in criminal justice program courses
  • Is interested in a law enforcement career and enjoys contributing to public safety in the community
  • Has excellent interpersonal and communications skills, and can respond diplomatically and tactfully to people of diverse backgrounds.

Benefits

  • A combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and six months of experience involving public contact are required.
