Pay - $16.90 - $19.40 per hour DOQ About the Opportunity The City of Ventura is accepting applications for the position of Police Cadet.

Possession of a valid California Class C driver license and acceptable driving record are required.
Minimum Qualifications - Required
Police Cadets must be at least 18 years of age at the time of appointment.
License: Possession of a valid California Class C driver license and acceptable driving record are required.

Has completed or is enrolled in criminal justice program courses
Is interested in a law enforcement career and enjoys contributing to public safety in the community
Has excellent interpersonal and communications skills, and can respond diplomatically and tactfully to people of diverse backgrounds.
$16.90 - $19.40 per hour DOQ

A combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and six months of experience involving public contact are required.
