Responsibilities
- Perform operations on the water plant during downs, such as completing the drain, clean, and refill process of multiple systems like Clearwell, excess lime clarifier, effluent clarifier, reactor clarifier, MGO reactor, MGO, lime, coag, and floc basins, and back wash sump with whole boiler house team
- starting and restarting equipment after power bump or failure, maintaining irrigation fields and heads, replacing and cleaning filters, monitoring water levels, adding chemicals to hoppers to maintain their levels, and flushing pumps
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years' experience as a 3rd Class Engineer
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, work collaboratively as a team member
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
- TSSA Certificate of Qualification or Interprovincial Power Engineer Certification as 3rd Class Engineer
- Minimum 3+ years' experience as a 3rd Class Engineer; preferably in Industrialized Manufacturing
- Competent computer skills using a variety of software and digital platforms such as Microsoft Suite of software, POKA, SchedulePro (Shiftboard), SAP and other
- Demonstrate Safety mindset & behaviors
- Fit to operate mobile equipment
- Driver's license in good standing
