About the role
- ISEE is seeking a full-time Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team.
- The ideal candidate has 5+ years of work experience and has been through the product development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Design, integrate, and validate hardware for autonomous vehicles
- Build schedules for new hardware initiatives
- Create engineering specifications and coordinate development work on various vehicle subsystems
- Develop assembly and test procedures
- Lead design reviews
- Design parts for manufacturing and BOM creation
- Manage engineering changes for updates to existing vehicles
Requirements
- 5+ years relevant industry experience designing products for production
- Familiarity with GD&T and generation of engineering drawings and documentation
- Familiarity with CAD Software (Solidworks, Fusion 360, NX)
- Experience with designing for outdoor or harsh environments (particulate ingress, water ingress, UV exposure, shock and vibe, high temp, etc)
- Basic hand tool knowledge and experience -
Nice to have
- Bachelors/Masters in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years relevant industry experience designing products for production - Familiarity with GD&T and generation of engineering drawings and documentation - Familiarity with CAD Software (Solidworks, Fusion 360, NX).
- Experience designing both sheet metal and machined parts.
Skills
- Experience with plastic injection molding
- Passionate about AI, robotics, and self-driving cars
- Startup work experience
- Robotics and logistics experience a plus
- Familiarity with a machine shop
- Familiarity with automotive systems
