About the role
- This role is ideal for a seasoned cloud professional with deep technical expertise and a strategic mindset, capable of driving innovation, performance, and resilience in a hybrid and multi-cloud environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation
- Lead the adoption of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, AKS, GKE).
- Manage backup and disaster recovery strategies across cloud platforms
- Implement and maintain robust cloud security controls aligned with industry standards (e.g., CIS, NIST, ISO 27001)
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab
- Create and manage container images
- Build secure-by-design containers
- Monitor and manage cloud spend, identifying opportunities for cost savings and resource optimization

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience
- Must be legally able to work in the U.S. without any type of visa (EAD, F1, OPT, H1b) requirement now OR at any time in the future
- Must be local and willing to work on site in Troy, MI
- Minimum of seven years of experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure roles
- Minimum of five years of hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Expertise in cloud architecture, networking, and security best practices
- Familiarity with serverless computing (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, Google Cloud Functions)
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
- Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud strategies
- Professional certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Professional Cloud Architect
